Shohin Japanese Black Pine

These photos were kindly sent by the friend from whom I am purchasing this tree. It is a Japanese import, originally styled by Marco Invernizzi. The quality of this tree is absolute from tip to root. The whole thing including pot is about six inches, although not having it in my possession (and having seen it once) may have colored my perception.

Nevertheless, it is a beautiful shohin tree that I hope to improve over the next few years. In the short time I had to examine this one, I think a repotting with a new planting position, some root work, and a new front can take this tree to a higher level.
