Spring is rolling inexorably our way at Pavement Ends. This is not a faith-based premise, it is the result of historical observation. Thank goodness. I am encouraged that we are still bitterly cold, since warm weather at this time of year is ever the harbinger of destructive freezes to come. However, spring work begins before the robins sing, and we are ready.
Saturday, March 22 (and possibly Sunday, March 23 depending on demand)--we will be repotting anything you need to repot, also a few of my trees. Don't worry, I'm not asking anyone to do my work for me. Some of the trees are not easily handled by one person, though, so look for opportunities to see new techniques including the "square roots" method of potting a tree.

Hi, I am trying to get a bonsai for my husband. It'll be his first, but I don't know where I can find one in the Kansas City area. Would you recommend a place? Also, is your workshop suitable for beginners?
Hope you respond,
Thx,
Anabel.
Anabel,
There will be people at all levels of bonsai knowledge attending. You are both welcome to come.
As to finding a bonsai in Kansas City, that's not so easy. If you will post a way for me to get in touch with you (phone or email) I will be sure not to publish it, as these comments are moderated. Then we could chat a bit more and maybe find a direction for you to go.
Chris
Hey, I have a great Idea. Why don't you have the good, knowledgeable guys that are in Michigan at the all Michigan bonsai show come and headline your workshops! C'mon, they are the all knowing collecting, display, nursery material GODS of the internet!!!
You know what I am talking about, hahaha! I love it!
