Bay Island Bonsai Exhibit of Fine Bonsai

From under a blanket of ice and snow, with wind chills far below zero, your reporter was transported to sunnier climes and happier times with the arrival of a disc of photographs of the premier bonsai show in the United States.

I am grateful and in debt to Scott Straley (JavaScottC from BonsaiTALK) for the gift of such a wonderful collection of photographs.


I was unable to attend in person this year, so Scott was kind enough to send me a disc of his own photographs. In coming days, I will be featuring selected shots from the show for critique and a closer examination. What I miss most, of course, is the camaraderie and wonderful spirit of the endeavor. I can assure all that I will be in attendance next January for the milestone 10th annual show.
